PCgen
 

PCGen is a free Java 1.3.x-based character generator aimed at supporting d20 roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons Third Edition and Star Wars. It is highly configurable by the users, allowing the Dungeon Master to add or remove races, classes, feats, etc., and to implement house rules such as differing class or race restrictions. Level advancement is also supported, with configurable progressions of feats, skills and ability score bonuses. For "at the table" support, PCGen offers a set of options that allows the user to produce a customized character sheet, which can then be viewed in, or printed from, the user's WWW browser. It can also produce a "party" sheet with the information needed by the DM.

Information: This is a clone of the old game Archon. The game is completely playable in two-player mode, but the AI for the computer opponent is still under development.

Action takes place on a 9x9 black and white grid, and each piece has chess-like restrictions on how it can move. Pieces are stronger or weaker according to the color of the square they're on, and some squares constantly change color from black to white and back.

When one piece lands on a square occupied by an opposing piece, the game switches into action mode, where the units duke it out in a real-time battle, each using their unique battle powers.
